This project explores the coexistence of humans and animals in cities, inspired by my experience living among birds. The project highlights the perspectives of birds as both primitively natural and technologically advanced, emphasizing the labor and hard work they put into building their nests.
I explore two contrasting perspectives, embodying the viewpoint of birds and creating from a human perspective, combining manmade and nature, craft, and technology. The project showcases my understanding of birds' natural ecology and reproductive research, highlighting the importance of empathy towards animals.
This tapestry is a tribute to handmade textiles, using naturally dyed yarns and hand-spun wool. It incorporates the intricate craft of crochet, showcasing my homage to the elements of nature, including foraged elements.
